If you are feeling a little blue… a few beautiful things to bring a smile to your face or your environment!
Beautiful Costa Boda Vase. Child’s Fabulous top/dress from Bonnie Young. Swing chair from Anthropologie, who else? Luscious Renaissance Carpet, Striped Crate&Barrel Towel, Duralee Blue Paisley Upholstery Fabric. From Liberty of London the fabulous Tropical Blue Leather Hugo Platforms, KG by Kurt Geiger

Anthropologie has become a household word… but we still look to them for trend setting fashion and furnishing priced for the masses. At least the design-conscious masses… with a few extra bucks in their pockets! Or stylish wallets! They set the trends. They make us drool. We want it and we want it now. I fortunately cannot purchase everything I see and love. Like these hand made cups… just out of my price range, but I might just sign up for a clay class and make my own…

Sprucing up your kitchen? Need new furnishings for patio parties? What about festive dinner wear or just some new tea towels? Crate & Barrel should be your first stop! Their new line is fun, festive and full of glorious color!!! I had to get a few little pieces myself… I just couldn’t resist!

I admit that I am in a very romantic phase and therefore attracted to a certain kind of beauty. When I saw this book, I immediately put it on my wish list. Olaf Hajek, an international known illustrator, from Berlin has a new book out. It’s filled with dream-like paintings/illustrations which again blur the distinction between art/craft/design. Check out his web site and be inspired!

The line between art, craft and design gets thinner and thinner. Hopefully one day there will be no division. We’ll all be referred to as image makers or reflectors of life on earth. Some creative types have already reached that place. Is it art, craft, or design or all three — or better yet, something more beautiful and profound, which has yet to be named. This would describe Eva Wylie who’s work looks more like a labor of love and an expression of the beauty she recognizes when viewing the world. Her work takes my breath away. Thanks you for sharing your vision with us.
