sticks and stones…

Words alone can not express how in love we are with these barrettes. After seeing these in Real Simple magazine, we rushed to etsy to purchase them, as did over 1,000 other people. Mai McKemy’s store 4thesparrowsnest is currently empty, but we are eagerly awaiting the arrival of her new goodies!

it’s a man made world

In Edward Burtynsky’s words “These images are meant as metaphors to the dilemma of our modern existence; they search for a dialogue between attraction and repulsion, seduction and fear. Our dependence on nature to provide the materials for our consumption and our concern for the health of our planet sets us into an uneasy contradiction. For me, these images function as reflecting pools of our times.” I could not have said it any better. These photographs are stunning. See the documentary… Manufactured Landscapes (2007) Edward Burtynsky, it is amazing.
